RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a relatively new technology, and is developing fast. The technology encompasses frequency rages from 52KHz to 47GHz, with the lower frequencies being particularly popular where power generation is required. Cambion have developed the following three ranges of Transponder Coils suited to frequencies between 100KHz and 150KHz, the surface mount product being a particularly rugged over-moulded package. Cambion are also manufacturing a host of custom solutions, unique to customer specific applications.

 

In addition to the transponder coils, Cambion have also invested heavily in manufacturing capability of Reader Coils, also required for this technology. These are invariably of custom format, the design of which we will happily help with, and typically range from .394" (10mm) diameter to 7.874" (200mm) square.

DESIGNERS KIT

Also available, under part number 555-5120-00-00-00 is a designers kit. It comprises of 10 pieces of all transponder coils as asterisked in above table, in robust moulded surface mount format only. Included in the package is an example of a reader coil.
